About the program

Our international trainee program extends over 18 months at your base NKT site in Sweden, Germany, Denmark, India, Lithuania, Poland, Czech Republic or the Netherlands and you will be permanent employed from day one with all benefits our employees normally have.

The program consists of a combination between theory and job rotations, both domestic and one international. The setup of the trainee program will give you a unique possibility to learn the industry, customer needs and key competitors as well as the company from ground and up with our functions and business lines and their value proposition. The global program will allow you to work in an international environment, across functions and to establish a strong company network. The various parts include both theoretical as well as practical aspects and through a global curriculum you and the other trainees will create a valuable network. Also, tailor designed trainings will be integrated to your program to fit your specific needs. 

The NKT Trainee program will give you a broad foundation to stand on as well as the opportunity to individually focus on specific areas according to your ambitions, wishes and business needs. Upon completion of the trainee program, you will have a permanent position within your location. Sounds interesting?

We are looking for newly or soon-to-be graduated Master degree or PhD students from a university within the hosting country. Your degree is within either one of the technical fields such as electrical engineering, physics or material science or in the fields of Finance or a technical commercial degree. Our local trainee openings have different requirements. Review the specific job ad you are interested in to find out the requirements for that specific position.

After the trainee year there will be a direct transfer to your permanent position which will be decided to match your own skills and aspirations as well as NKT business needs. In parallel with starting your permanent role you will take part in real-life business project together with the other trainee colleagues to apply your learnings and further accelerate your growth!
