HSE Manager for Projects (m/f/d)

    As HSE Manager for Projects (m/f/d) in the Health, Safety and Environment department, you will support and advise the activities in the projects with regard to occupational safety, health and environmental protection at our German sites and the construction sites in Germany and abroad that are managed from there. From the first customer contact during our projects, through the planning and manufacturing of our cable systems, to the construction site, you will support in HSE issues.

    You will be responsible for the following aspects: 
    On your agenda is the preparation of project specific HSE plans as well as the follow-up and control of their compliance within the tenders/projects. From the first customer contact in the tender phase to the detailed planning in the project you will give input in HSE relevant topics.

    Further key tasks are:

    • Preparation of project documentation, statistics and reports
    • Performing accident root cause analysis and deriving improvement/countermeasures and, if necessary, proposing required means and processes to ensure them
    • Participate in relevant HSE forums and follow up on current legal, customer and internal standards
    • Support the development, maintenance and implementation of HSE initiatives and programs in depth with HSE plans and legal and internal regulations and guidelines
    • Support the solutions to be developed and in the implementation of strategies, to identify key risks and to improve and ensure HSE sustainability
    • Create a safe and healthy work environment with the goal of preventing future accidents
    • Advise NKT teams, customers, and potential project partners on HSE issues
    • Advise management on issues related to system and regulatory changes, to ensure compliance with internal and external requirements related to task performance

    To connect a greener world, you should have the following skills and experience:

    You have completed an apprenticeship with additional specialized training or a technical/scientific degree and have proof of technical safety expertise in accordance with §4 DGUV Regulation 2. Ideally, your profile is rounded off by further qualifications in the areas of environment, waste, immission control, fire protection and as an auditor. In addition, you have several years of professional experience in HSE and/or project management in a manufacturing environment.

    Further important qualifications are:

    • Ability and willingness to travel to clients and projects on a regular basis as needed
    • Very good MS Office skills
    • Fluent German and English, both written and spoken
    • Strong safety, cost and quality awareness
    • Strong communication skills across all hierarchical levels
