HV Solutions Corridor Projects – NKT contributes to the “Energiewende” (energy transition) in Germany in several lots and contracts of the projects SuedLink and SuedOstLink awarded by 50Hertz, TenneT and TransnetBW.
The position is located in Berlin, Cologne or Würzburg.
Your primary tasks will be:
Contract Management during Startup/ Procurement Phase:
Provide advice to Procurement regarding the procurement strategy for upcoming projects and ensure lessons learnt from previous projects are incorporated
Provide support to the Procurement Manager (m/f/d) during contract negotiations
Identify risks and propose mitigating actions to the Project manager (m/f/d)
Define contract administration processes, procedures, and templates for the project together with the project team
Contract Management during project Execution / Construction Phase:
Provide commercial support and advice to the Project and especially Project Manager (m/f/d) as and when required
Assist the Project Manager (m/f/d) in challenging and improving the budget as well as mitigating risks and investigating opportunities
Maintain/ develop a close relationship with all Project members and counterparts
Provide support in relation to correspondence with the contractors and clients (process owner)
Ensure that NKT is performing all obligations under the contract
Provide support in relation to variations and claims (process owner)
Take the lead on negotiation strategies as and when required for the Project team
Cooperate with legal (PLC) in case of disputes
We are searching for a Senior Contract Manager (m/f/d) with >5 years of professional experience at complex construction projects. You should have a solid legal background, a good commercial mindset and a sound financial understanding.
Additionally, you should have
The ability to simultaneously manage several tasks and projects to often challenging deadlines – structured and strong in project management
Strong sense of integrity who dares to challenge (in a positive way) colleagues to achieve the common goals for the project
Nice to have: experience of working with FIDIC
Structured, accurate and efficient way of working
Performance oriented and proactive
Ability to work in a team and build up strong relationships
Good understanding of commercial interfaces between contractual boundaries and technical implementation
Be fluent in German and English
