Are you a self-starter, keen to joining a diverse team, running International tenders in the area of large infrastructure projects aiming to connect a greener world? Working closely with our international customers, we develop, manufacture and install efficient, environmentally friendly and technologically advanced high-voltage cables, for land and offshore applications worldwide.

Lead the installation tendering process 
Our installation department continues to grow and an exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and experienced Senior Installation Proposal Manager to join our team. In this role you will be a part of our tender team, with responsibility for the cable installation portion of our proposals. You will actively lead the installation tendering process for all assigned projects. Your determination will be to aim for success by offering the best execution solution and commercial solution to our customers.

Your primary tasks will be:

  • Responsibility for installation aspects from start of tendering to contract award and handover to the project installation department
  • Accountability to deliver high quality tenders, prioritizing appropriately and meeting both customer demands and directives and leading the NKT Installation Strategy
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, internally and externally
  • Serve as a single point of contact during the tender phase
  • Identify, evaluate and negotiate with installation subcontractors
  • Responsibility to drive a competitive installation solution both technically and commercially
  • Prepare the documentation package to present to the client
  • Formulate an accurate cost estimate and time schedule for the proposal installation solution
  • Presenting our installation solutions to customers and drive the negotiations with the ambition to achieve success in our tenders

You will be located in Cary NC as part of an international and dynamic team located in different part of the globe. Some traveling will be required. Communicative and business-oriented team player
To successfully take on this position, you need to be a person who is communicative, independent, driven to get the desired outcomes and who enjoys collaborating and sharing experiences with colleagues. You thrive when collaborating with other internal departments to optimize the technical and commercial solution to our customers. Equally important is your business-oriented mindset, as well as your ability to lead negotiations with subcontractors and understand contractual information.


Additionally, your CV includes:

  • BSc or MSc degree (ideally with an Engineering related discipline)
  • Minimum 10 years work experience, preferably within the linear onshore construction and/or the offshore cable installation industry
  • Experience of landfall HDD work and nearshore works would also be of benefit
  • Fluency in spoken and written English.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States
  • Proficiency in MS (MS Project is an advantage)
