    Insurance Manager

    A key position in our Corporate Affairs Team with responsibility of NKT’s Global insurance program in  cooperation with  stakeholders throughout the organization.

    The position

    You will have the opportunity to help drive a state-of-the-art project insurance function covering the insurance risks of the entire NKT Group and you will act as NKT’s dedicated subject-matter-expert.

    Responsibilities include management and renewal of international insurance program, underwriting discussions, and negotiation of insurances with Insurers, provide internal training and raise awareness etc.

    Your tasks include:

    • Insurance Adviser in regard to the maintaining, developing and renewing of the NKT Global Insurance program as well as additional local lines.
    • Responsible for claims notification, handling and administration in cooperation with colleagues and brokers, and internal reporting responsibility to monitor performance.
    • Consolidate and analyze project data to expand and drive internal risk assessments (utilize internal data capture to support negotiations with, brokers, insurers etc.)
    • Collaborate with Advisors, Brokers, QHSE, IT, HR, Project Owners, and others on Insurance and, identification of exposures, implementation of best practices, gathering underwriting data, and designing and placing appropriate coverage
    • Business Partnering; build and maintain close relationship with internal stakeholders - at all levels of the organization - throughout the business.
    • Facilitate internal training and workshops; help raise awareness on risk and insurance related topics

    The expected results are constant improvement of NKT’s corporate insurance profile supporting both the quality in the protection acquired as well as the specific growth and profitability targets and to succeed you must be able to:

    • Drive the corporate insurance area and consolidate a highly competent and well-reputed Insurance function known for its high level of expertise, adding value and strong business acumen.
    • Deliver impeccable results in close cooperation with the remaining team; continuously support the business.
    • Being recognized as a strong subject-matter-expert on Insurance related matters; help increase transparency in regard to risk level, risk identification, risk mitigation, risk acceptance versus risk tolerance etc.

    You will report directly to the Director and Head of Project & Corporate Insurance and be part of a team undergoing a large transformation concurrent with our Renew Boost Strategy and shared beliefs “We Connect a Greener World”.

    We are looking for a stellar insurance manager with strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative mindset; proven competencies in building, sustaining, and influencing relations with the ability to navigate in a truly international organization and influence important stakeholders without any formal authorization.

    In addition to this you have high intellectual and analytical capacity; an innovative and result driven individual who handles complex matters in a systematic and structured way. Your strong communication skills enable you to communicate unhindered to establish commitment and ownership.

    The ideal candidate comes with +3 years of experience from a similar role in an internationally well-reputed company; an Insurance/Broking company and/or a multinational corporate environment:

    • Solid experience with Global Insurance programs
    • Good knowledge of Industrial/production  risks and assessing potential insurance implications.
    • Experienced negotiating and communicating with stakeholders; internally as well as externally
    • Impeccable analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
    • A proven track record in driving optimization and efficiency processes across an organization; having a strong overview as well as strategic perspective without losing sight of relevant details.

    Additionally, your CV ideally comprises a relevant Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law, Finance, Economics, Engineering or Business Administration from a recognized university and fluency in English.
