    Take lead in important investment projects for new machines and production equipment.

    The Project Cluster Manager is effectively a portfolio manager and will be responsible for maintaining the program and budget delivery of his or her cluster. Reporting directly to both the Production Investments Manager and the overall Program Manager, this role will also require the continuous coordination with the other Project Cluster Managers. Other roles will include:

    • Certifying purchases and invoices provided by the Project Manager within the Cluster, and to make financial decision within the project framework.
    • To protect the Cluster budget and escalate any issues which may affect the financial outcome.
    • Ensuring optimal resource use within each project and between clusters.
    • Identifying critical path activities and events which may affect the general plan.
    • To ensure activities are not overlooked or duplicated with the projects, or between each cluster.
    • To direct and motivate the project team. 
    • To protect and control the budget, time schedule, quality, risk, resources.
    • Monitoring Health & Safety compliance within each project and instigate any remedial action.
    • Compiling and issuing the monthly report outlining progress, cost, risks and the mitigation actions undertaken.

    As Cluster Manager at NKT you will have the overall responsibility over a number of ongoing investment projects within the area of production equipment, machinery for cable production and production buildings. The investment value the cluster lead is responsible for can be between 10-100 million SEK and have a term of between 2-4 years. You will be monitoring all aspects of the projects within the cluster and ensuring that it follow our process project methodology for investments (PMFI), as well as evaluating Health, Safety and Environmental parameters in the projects.

    The preferred candidate has desirable following qualifications:

    • Previous experience of economic planning, budget and cost follow up.
    • Experienced in Microsoft Office and systems as SAP. Microsoft Project is meriting.
    • Experience from Props/ GATE Method for Project Management is beneficial.
    • Knowledge in CE-marking, machine directive and applicable standards are considered a merit, but not necessary.

    Result focused and collaborative leader

    In order to succeed in the role of Cluster Manager, it is advantageous to have experience in production/industry. Previous experience from larger project management is needed.

    Since every solution and High Voltage cable is designed from customer requirements, the workflow needs to be consistent yet flexible to suit the needs of developing departments while still maintaining budget, plans and deadlines. You need to be able to make quick decisions and delegate to keep focus on results and delivery. Your goal oriented stance ensures that deadlines are always met.

    You are an assertive leader whilst remaining empathetic with a strong recognition for the positives in diversity. You never fail to recognize the great assets different people, competences and collaborations are to a project.

    Further important qualifications are:

    • Bachelor´s Master degree in Mechanical Engineering of similar, or experience within Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing or similar is beneficial.
    • Fluency in Swedish and English.
