SAP Engineer

1st level SAP support and optimization of SAP processes
Do you have a broad IT understanding of ERP Applications/software, especially SAP, and are you switched on by performing high-quality 1st level SAP support and optimizing SAP processes? If your answer is ‘yes', we have an exciting opportunity for you! 

We are looking for an Applications Engineer to perform 1st level SAP support for our Danish entity within Applications Business Line. You will act as a 1st level supporter and primary contact person for ERP/SAP users in our Danish entity. Furthermore, you will act as a responsible partner toward related NKT stakeholders and users in scope as well as external partners. In addition, you will cooperate on strategy, roadmaps, and business case processes for ERP/SAP function together with the Digital Core ERP/SAP organization and your business organization.

You will report directly to the Manager for 1st level SAP Support and work closely with the Group IT teams i.e. Digital Core and the SAP organization. The position is located in either Asnæs, Denmark, or Kladno, the Czech Republic. You may expect to travel 10 – 20 days per year. 

Some of your main responsibilities will be to: 

• Support own organization and optimize SAP processes within the scope of function and defined SAP system and area/modules.
• Support improvement projects and daily operations.
• Communicate with SAP/ERP users, key users, and other business stakeholders regarding systems support.
• Support the development, change, maintenance, testing, documenting, and training.
• Perform high-quality 1st level SAP support for your region/country and modules/processes, maintaining and implementing changes into the systems together with the Digital Core SAP/ERP organization according to Group IT procedures and policies.
• Perform 1st level SAP support in your region/country for all SAP modules.
• Perform 1st level support in defined modules/processes for 4 countries (2 x CZ, 1 x PL, 1 x DK, 1 x SE) from DK or the Czech Republic.
• Represent 1st level SAP support organization in your region/Country.

We are looking for a candidate who is structured, process-oriented, and result-driven, and able to write and establish documentation. You are an engaged person with a collaborative mindset who thrives on working with stakeholders within and outside the IT organization. 

The preferred candidate for the role has:

• Relevant education in IT. 
• Preferably BPMN certification.
• ITIL, Prince2 certification is an advantage.
• Minimum 3 years of experience with SAP/ERP support.
• Solid knowledge of SAP technologies, modules, and procedures.
• Experience with length-oriented products projects is an advantage
• Length-oriented product process knowledge is an advantage.
• Structured approach toward developing, changing, and maintaining software.
• Fluent English skills, spoken and written, and preferably Danish skills. 
• Preferably experience in an international organization.
