Junior project controller

    NKT, a leading cable producer with Headquarters in Denmark, is seeking a Junior Project Controller who is eager to work in a fast-paced environment as part of a growing global team.

    What can you expect from the position?

    You will be based in a modern office in Kaunas while working closely with colleagues globally. This role will be key in providing support to our Senior controllers with handling of various project related administrative tasks, project preparations for monthly closings and reviews and over the time controlling for smaller scope/value projects. You can also expect to apply best practices in supporting and driving process improvements. Other responsibilities will be:

    • Handling of all project related data in SAP (COPA, MM modules) for period close reporting (MEC, YEC), execute all projects related SAP activities (creation, closure of projects, etc.);
    • Support data extraction and preparation for Project Budget/Forecast, as well as project related reporting: revenue, margin, BS, CF, Construction contracts, etc.​ Follow up with different stakeholders on project related data;
    • Project management review preparation (ppt, data consolidation, financial reviews, etc.);
    • ​Project related analysis & KPIs distribution to related stakeholders (including external parties)​;
    • Participate in process changes, improvements, and efficiency activities;
    • Execute other role related activities and assignments.

    What do we expect from the candidate?

    The candidate should have Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or similar and at least 2 years of relative experience. Advanced level of MS Excel, MS Power Point and other MS Office skills is a must, while knowledge of SAP (similar ERP system) would be an advantage. On top of this, we expect you to have:

    • Financial mindset, able to present financial impact to non-Finance stakeholders;
    • Detailed and high level of accuracy around financial numbers;
    • Ability to handle wide range and different level of stakeholders, supporting them from financial side, yet being able to challenge when needed and follow up;
    • Pro-active attitude, strive for result, strong ownership & accountability for assigned areas;
    • A keen desire to learn, develop and be continuously challenged;
    • Ability to work to a tight schedule;
    • Striving for professionalism, can work with limited support and guidance;
    • High focus on co-operation throughout the business;
    • Strong English language skills, professional in verbal and written.
