    In the role of Category Manager at NKT in Alingsås, you will be a prominent participant in developing areas of improvement regarding Supply Chain- and Sourcing Strategies. You will work hands-on with our supplier base and be responsible for contractually ensuring that NKT´s suppliers enables continuous, predictable supply regarding reliability, cost-efficiency, quality, and lead times for assigned assortment. These responsibilities also entail continuously evaluating and revising our suppliers by setting and tracking KPIs. NKT’s direct material spend is primarily metals, plastics, silicones and oils.
     
    Further key tasks are:

    • Manage your category, qualify new suppliers, manage contracts, manage supplier life cycle 
    • Ensure supplier capacities – short and long term
    • Represent Supply Chain in phase-in and phase-out of new products and their corresponding sourced components
    • Work closely with buyers to ensure that NKT acts as one unit to meet the common KPI´s.
    • Set-up and upkeep supplier contracts and prices in SAP – monitor and resolve price differences
    • Create, monitor and execute incentives and/or breach of contracts

    Furthermore, we expect that your CV includes… 

    • A university degree within engineering, or equivalent
    • A minimum of 5 years of work experience within procurement/purchasing
    • ERP skills in purchasing to handle all aspects of responsibilities listed above – skills in SAP is beneficial
    • Fluent in Swedish and English – beneficial if you know German

    This is a full-time employment. You will be located in Alingsås and report to the Purchasing Manager on site. Because of the global set-up you will be travelling to other sites occasionally, estimated 10-20 days per year, domestic and international.
