    Senior treasury business partner to develop best-in-class Group Treasury function

The Group Treasury team is vital on this growth journey and right now we are recruiting a new Senior Treasury Specialist. 

    Come join our team and you will have the opportunity to work with complex financial risk management in an organization active in most treasury disciplines. You will be directly involved with NKT’s business lines and act as a valuable business partner. We are a new team, and you will have a great opportunity to impact how we work together and build a world-class treasury function. Group Treasury is part of Group Finance and has close cooperation with all group functions. 

    Funding, financial risks and cash management
    Group Treasury is responsible for all activities related to funding, financial risks and cash management within NKT. The activities are characterized by significant and complex commodity and FX risks in connection with cable orders and production and a related substantial bank-guarantee portfolio. The activities also include a wide span of other treasury products and disciplines such as RCF, hybrid bond issuance, mortgage loans, supply chain finance, factoring, and international cash management. Group Treasury works closely together with an international group of banks and export credit agencies.

    A valuable partner for our Business Lines
    As Senior Treasurer you will report to the Head of Group Treasury and be part of a treasury team consisting of 7 skilled specialists.

    You will play an important role in:

    • being a valuable partner for our Business Lines by understanding their exposure and by hedging commodity and FX risks with our financial counterparties
    • monitoring and managing liquidity and collateral risks
    • ensuring sufficient credit -, guarantee - and derivative facilities in line with business strategy and forecast 
    • negotiating terms and conditions for NKTs financial facilities and trading agreements
    • managing bank relations and being part of the strategic decision-making process for Group Treasury from a global perspective
    • taking part in internal reporting and preparing analysis, proposals, and management presentations 
    • ensuring compliance with legal regulations as well as internal Treasury Policy
    • demonstrating business understanding and financial market insights by understanding market trends, issues, and impacts. And you use your knowledge to communicate effectively with internal and external  stakeholders

    To thrive in this role you have proven analytical and problem-solving skills
    You work easily with large data sets and communicate complex topics to many different stakeholders in a simple way. You are committed and seek to deliver quality. You meet people with openness and welcome opportunities and have a belief of “together we succeed”.

    Additionally, your CV probably includes: 

    • an academic background in economics, business, finance or similar
    • a minimum of 5 years experience in financial risk management, corporate finance or similar from a large corporate or financial institution
    • previous commodity or FX risk management experience will be an advantage
    • advanced written and verbal communication skills (English is required)
    • advanced Excel and power-point skills, and ideally you have experience with a Treasury Management System
    • Ideally knowledge of and experience with trading platforms, commodity and FX financial markets and IFRS hedge accounting
