NKT HV Solutions contributes to the “Energiewende” (energy transition) in Germany in several lots and contracts of the corridor projects SuedLink and SuedOstLink awarded by 50Hertz, TenneT and TransnetBW. Responsibility for cable and system design and support of project management
As a Junior Engineer (m/f/d) you are responsible for quotations and project management. In addition, your main tasks include:
•    Checking tenders for technical feasibility and deciding on them
•    Carrying out technical calculations and preparing the corresponding documentation
•    Determination of the cable and system design as well as cable laying
•    Compilation of the necessary technical documents incl. general drawings
•    Listing of the necessary cables, fittings, and external/internal services
•    Compilation of the engineering budget for the offer calculation 
•    Preparation and updating of technical descriptions and data sheets
•    Support of the project management in project meetings

 

In your new position at the Cologne site, you will report to your direct manager, one of the Project Lead Engineers of the corridor projects. The HVDC Engineering Team currently consists of 7 colleagues. By arrangement, you can work on a mobile basis, enjoy our flexitime system and profit from our corporate benefits.


Ambitious Engineer (m/f/d) with first professional experience in high-voltage technology
We are looking for an ambitious Engineer (m/f/d) who has experience in modelling cable systems. You should have strong communication and negotiation skills as well as a high level of commitment, flexibility & the ability to work in a team. You will also have very good IT skills, e.g., in Microsoft 365, Microsoft Project, SAP. Other important qualifications are:
•    Bachelor's or Master's degree in electrical engineering (Electrical Engineer or similar)
•    Professional experience in the field of large-scale projects/high-voltage cable projects is an advantage 
•    Very good knowledge of English and German, both written and spoken
