Strengthen our Group Communications and enable a sustainable future 
NKT is growing and to support the business and strengthen our Group Communications organization, we are now looking for our future Communications Partner and Public Relations Lead. In this role, you will support the implementation of our strategy, ReNew BOOST, focusing on growth, innovation, and sustainability through impactful communication while driving our public relations activities. The primary objective is to create and maintain a positive public image and reputation of NKT as the most sustainable power cable manufacturer worldwide across global and local stakeholders. 

You will report to the VP, Head of Group Communications and Public Relations, and be a part of a small and diverse team of senior communications professionals. All team members have high exposure to C-levels and are expected to drive agendas independently with regular team sparring. The position is located in Brøndby, Denmark. You may expect to travel up to 20-30 days per year in connection with conferences, delegations, etc.

As Communications Partner and Public Relations Lead, you will:

  • nurture strategic partnerships with external/public organizations and media to help position NKT and our power cable solutions as key enablers of the green transition.
  • build a roadmap for external positioning activities with a close link to NKT’s strategy, ReNew BOOST, and activities anchored with Group Communications, Marketing, and Stakeholder Relations. 
  • diligently plan and execute senior management’s participation, incl. advice on external communications efforts, in large events to promote NKT such as conferences, delegations, etc.
  • develop communication strategies and campaigns in connection with conferences, delegations, etc.
  • draft press releases, case studies, white papers, and media summaries in close collaboration with External Communications Lead.
  • build and maintain relations with selected press and media to position NKT for profile interviews supporting the public relations agenda. 


Resourceful candidate with insights into sustainability and policy advocacy 
We are looking for a proactive and structured candidate with the ability to manage and build relationships with external stakeholders through extensive networks. Previous experience in the power or energy industry and the sustainability field is a must. The role also requires that you are able to translate complex products into compelling stories with a clear link to strategy and the external environment. To succeed in this role, you must possess excellent communication skills and have experience with media incl. social media. Moreover, you also have experience in event planning, public speaking, and presentation facilitation. Lastly, you enjoy working independently as well as in teams with diverse personalities and skill levels.

Additionally, your CV includes:

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in a business or public sector environment.
  • A Bachelor’s degree and preferably a Master’s degree in Communication, Journalism, or Business Studies.
  • At least 2 years of experience in the power and/or energy industry with related insights into sustainability trends and the green energy transition.
  • Experience in developing and implementing integrated communication campaigns focused on sustainability and policy advocacy.
  • Fluent English skills, spoken and written. Knowledge of Danish is an advantage.
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
