Are you an experienced strategist with a solid and structured approach, with an ability to provide clear and actionable investment and opportunity business cases, with effective communication skills, with a precision focus to develop commercially viable strategic plans, that will support Applications Business Line (BL) to achieve its growth ambition? If so ........

  • You will work closely within and across all Applications BL departments to develop and implement business opportunities, such as partnerships, including geographical and product portfolio expansion.
  • The role requires cross BL alignment and collaboration, which requires a clear and confident communicator. You will lead and facilitate the process to create and deliver sustainable and significant change and impact, thereby making a substantial difference to the growth of the BL and the wider Company 
  • It will be your responsibility to lead multi-functional workstreams from strategy development, reporting directly to the VP for Market Intelligence and Development

Your primary tasks will be: 

  • Coordinate and Manage Strategy Management with the BL
  • Support all functions with the BL (operations, sales, commercial team and product development) in strategic and business development discussions whilst providing analytical rigor to the teams plans and efforts, as well as identify business opportunities for potential partnerships and production expansion
  • Develop, Mentor and guide the team's Market Intelligence Analyst 
  • Coordinate and perform industry research and strategic analyses in markets, as we;; as monitor and benchmark businesses of interest
  • Present recommendations and potential opportunities to senior management, show casing financial models, solid business cases and opportunity returns or value add
  • Identify and track potential opportunities such as acquisition targets, partnerships and joint ventures

This role is UK based at our site in Runcorn, with some flexibility to work from home.  Occasional international travel, mainly throughout Europe, will be required.  

Are you a driver of Business Results, with a results orientated approach, with a sharp eye for detail?
To effectively take on this position, you need to be a person who has the ability to build positive working relations, with advanced analytical skills, consulting, methodological and previous project experience is essential.  You have proven experience within an international corporate setting, with an affinity for technology and the manufacturing industry.

Your Experience Profile should also include: 

  • Bachelor's or Master’s studies in the field of economics or finance, business administration, and or engineering.
  • Additionally you bring experience from the business consulting, finance and/or investment banking, strategic consulting to an equivalent role in the industry.
  • Your proven experience of between minimum 3-5 years within manufacturing, turnkey, or infrastructure environment within industry, energy or capital goods is preferred
