Would you like to manage the financial risks associated with NKT’s green growth journey as our new senior risk business partner? And do you want to play an important role when we develop a best-in-class risk management function? Then join us for this exciting position!

NKT works to connect a greener world and is a key enabler of the green transition and electrification of society. The new risk business partner will be vital for managing the commodity and currency risks.  You will have the opportunity to work with complex financial risk management in an organization active in most treasury disciplines. You will be directly involved with NKT’s Business Lines and act as a valuable business partner. We are a new team, and you will have a great opportunity to impact how we work together and build a best-in-class risk function.

Part of Group Treasury
The position is part of Group Treasury where we are responsible for all activities related to funding, financial risks and cash management within NKT. The activities are characterized by significant and complex commodity and FX risks in connection with cable orders and production and a related substantial bank-guarantee portfolio. The activities also include a wide span of other treasury products and disciplines such as RCF, hybrid bond issuance, mortgage loans, supply chain finance, factoring, and international cash management. Group Treasury works closely together with an international group of banks and export credit agencies. Group Treasury is part of the wider Group Finance function.

A valuable partner for our Business Lines
As Risk Business Partner in Group Treasury, you will join seven committed colleagues. The new role will act as a business partner and point of contact for our two largest Business Lines Solutions (high-voltage cables) and Applications (low and medium-voltage cables), by ensuring that relevant risks are understood, monitored and managed.

You will play an important role in:

  • supporting the business and the treasury front office on all risk matters
  • advance and enhance the understanding of commodity risk across NKT – enabling the business units to deliver sustainable growth
  • developing and continuously improving our management reporting
  • ensuring compliance with legal regulations as well as internal Treasury Policy
  • taking part in the monthly processes related to building and administering the group’s risk picture, measuring the market value of our derivatives, and bridging the impact from hedging to the financial statement

To thrive in this role you have proven analytical and problem-solving skills
You work easily with large data sets and communicate complex topics to many different stakeholders in a simple way. You are committed and seek to deliver quality. You meet people with openness and welcome opportunities and have a belief of “together we succeed”.

Additionally, your CV probably includes:

  • an academic background in economics, business, finance or similar
  • 3-5+ years of experience in financial risk management, corporate finance or similar from a large corporate or financial institution
  • previous commodity or FX risk management experience will be an advantage
  • advanced written and verbal communication skills (English is required)
  • advanced Excel and power-point skills, and ideally you have experience with a Treasury Management System
  • Ideally knowledge of and experience with trading platforms, commodity and FX financial markets and IFRS hedge accounting

Even if you don’t tick all the boxes – let us know. Knowledge gaps can be filled and the most important thing is your potential, motivation and eagerness to contribute to our future growth.

Grow your talent and use your treasury knowledge
We offer an exciting job in a purposeful and motivated organization contributing to the green transition with excellent professional and personal development opportunities. You will have the opportunity to leverage NKT’s financial risk management setup and bring your treasury knowledge to good use. We value individual initiative and responsibility, and the right balance between originality and quality in all solutions. Here, you will grow your talent and perform in a friendly work environment based on trust, respect, and collaboration.
