We are looking for a Quality Engineer for the department Material Technology in Chennai (India)

As Quality Engineer - LIMS, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving the quality of data and processes in the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) by ensuring timely completion of LIMS orders and auditing the execution process.

In this role, the main responsibility is to support the lab processes rather than develop the system itself.

The role is mainly about:
 

• Internal follow up and auditing/checking of the assignments in LIMS in accordance with process (like filled in fields, Traceability & compliance of reports to internal Technical Documentation standards etc.)
• Report on how well we are performing the work we are supposed to do.
• Improve the system by analysing and reporting the why behind any deviations with suggestions for improvement actions.
• Work with Laboratory Manager to identify the requirements in auditing the process in LIMS.
• Follow up internally to close LIMS assignments in a timely manner
• Audit the assignments in LIMS in accordance with process for completeness of
  filled in fields, Traceability & compliance of reports to internal Technical Documentation standards etc
• Monthly report out the level adherence to process by defining various metrics,
  for eg: No. of orders executed , delayed, deviations etc.
• Analyse and identify the root cause for deviations and drive actions for improvement (Process & system) , interfacing with Order Handler, Developers, Laboratory Engineers

We are looking for an analytical team player who is thorough and methodical in their work and are eager to learn. We expect you to enjoy laboratory work, to be a service-oriented person with a passion to engage and support your co-workers. Responsibility, quality awareness, engagement and flexibility are important personal characteristics.

Your profile:

• Engineering Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical or Chemical discipline
• 6+ years of overall experience, of which, at least
• 2+ years of experience in working with International teams, preferably European
• 2+ years in Quality Management system and audit environment
• Any exposure to Testing / Laboratory environment would be an advantage Languages
• Proficiency in English is must, as strong written and spoken communication skills.
• German or Swedish knowledge is an added benefit
