Are you a self-starter, keen to join a diverse team ensuring safety requirements with a special focus on technical safety? Do you also have a strong background in machine safety? As a group HSE Manager you will be working closely with our teams in Europe –to ensure the compliance of our equipment with the safety requirements.

What can you expect in this role?

The most important responsibilities of yours are going to be:

• Defining the requirements for work equipment to be purchased and operated in NKT
• Support local plants regarding machine and equipment risk assessments
• Improving safety by developing standard solutions for equipment (sharing best practices)
• Being responsible for group-level programs for occupational risk mitigation (esp. technical safety, machine safety, hazardous works, electrical and chemical)
• Establishing the requirements for top risks safety programs by developing the right standards and procedures
• Managing and supporting the roll-out and implementation of safety programs in different locations and business lines.

To be successful in this role you must be able to work independently and have people skills, so you can act as a safety role model for your colleagues. As an experienced advocate of a safety culture, you need to be a team worker who inspires others to make changes and takes part in the energetic transformation.

Additionally, your CV includes:

• Safety Engineer (MSc), or Mech/Elec/Chem Engineer (MSc) with strong safety background.
• 3-5 year experience in technical/industrial environment
• Solid knowledge of machine directives (and upcoming regulations) and use of work equipment directives as well as their practical implementation in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge and experience in managing occupational risks and related EU and national legislation.
• Project Management
• HSE Management systems knowledge: ISO 45001, 14001, 50001
• Machine safety expert certification (TÜV or similar) is a merit
• Analytical skills
• English – business
• Very good knowledge of MS Office
• Driving license

This role requires availability for business travel around 50% to manufacturing locations.
