Accounting Specialist (AR team)

NKT Shared Service Centre for Accounting and Financial Control in Kaunas is looking for a motivated, curious and goals oriented collegue to join our engaged and skilled Accounts Receivable team of 7 professionals. What can you expect from the position?
You will work in an open, international and team-focused climate, where your personal career development and preparation for future attractive positions in the accounting/finance area will be supported by your direct manager and overall management team. Accounting Specialist in Accounts Receivable team is expected to ensure that all transactions are processed with efficiency and quality according to predefined standards and work processes and to help accounting associates perform according to standards. Also we expect you to handle and take ownership of queries from customers in a timely manner. Other tasks will be:

• General accounting and bookkeeping according to local, international and industry specific accounting requirements;
• Participation in period-close procedures;
• Delivering accurate reports to clients and assisting senior members of the team in preparation of other daily, monthly, quarterly, and yearly documents;
• Handling incoming and outgoing payments;
• Monitoring the financial transactions, check and review supporting documentation;
• Performing verification and reconciliation of assigned balance sheet accounts;
• Identifying opportunities for process improvement;
• Assisting with the monthly inter-company processes.

What do we expect from the candidate?

We expect you to be a team player as well as be able to work independently and have strong analytical skills with attention to detail while international experience is desired, but not required.

• 1-3 years of experience in accounting (Shared Services organisation or a major company experience is an advantage);
• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related discipline, higher commercial certificate or similar.;
• Preferably knowledge of SAP or similar ERP system;
• Good understanding of internal controls & risk management practices;
• Audit experience is considered an advantage;
• Working English knowledge.

Salary range for this position is from 1800 Eur to 2200 Eur Brutto.
