Lead our sustainability journey towards connecting a greener world
 

Sustainability is central to NKT’s overall business strategy and is at the top of our agenda. We are therefore investing heavily further in our Group Sustainability team with an experienced VP, Head of Group Sustainability. We would like to invite a strategic sustainability leader to join and be the driving force contributing to our green agenda.

Have a significant impact on our business  

  • Continue the development and implementation of our Sustainability strategy in close collaboration with internal stakeholders.
  • Own NKTs target setting, ensure compliant, accurate and timely reporting towards external and internal stakeholders 
  • Lead a team of highly engaged sustainability specialists 
  • Interact closely with all business lines and functions to ensure focus and progress
  • Drive continuous improvements and provide benchmark data and expert support for decision-making
  • Assess and mitigate sustainability-related risks in own responsibility area


You will report to the CCO and be an active member of the leadership team in the CCO department. You will be exposed to stakeholders at C-level, our ESG Committee and relevant key stakeholders in our manufacturing part of NKT. You will ideally be located in our HQ in Brøndby, Copenhagen. We offer a hybrid work-life balance with flexible working hours. Travels, mainly within Europe, are to be expected.
 


Strategic sustainability leader who builds lasting results and relationships

You have a strategic mindset and the ability to influence others. You are decisive, good at communicating and self-motivated. Since you will work closely with stakeholders and your team, a collaborative mindset and an ability to build and sustain relations are important. An analytical and innovative mind and the ability to drive results are key since you will handle complex matters.
 

You also have:

  • Several years of experience developing and implementing sustainability strategies.
  • Experience working for or with a listed company is preferable.
  • A good business and financial understanding and the ability to provide solutions that meet strategic and operational business needs.
  • Robust knowledge of sustainability legislation in the Nordics and EU as well as of international charters respected by the company. Understanding of the ‘soft law’ in the area of sustainability.
  • Robust knowledge of investor-related ESG requirements
  • Experience as a manager is preferable, but we’re open to a candidate with proven people skills. 
  • Excellent skills in written and spoken English
