Senior Accounting Specialist

NKT, a leading cable producer with Headquarters in Denmark, is seeking for Senior Accounting Specialist in Travel and Expense Management Team, eager to work in a fast-paced environment, to join our Shared Service Center in Kaunas and become a part of our growing global team.

What can you expect from the position?

You will be based in an international environment in a modern office in Kaunas. The role requires attention to detail, accounting skills and ability to work independently and also as a part of the team. You will be processing travel expense reports, handling stakeholders' and suppliers' queries, participating in period-close procedures for TEM and helping/supporting colleagues. You can also expect to receive inquiries and deliver accurate reports for internal customers and outsourcing partners or authorities. Other tasks will be:

• Processing travel expense reports;
• Completing reconciliations;
• Supporting local Concurs users, solving internal itracks;
• Participate in period close procedures;
• Support audit activities and liaise with auditors (both internal and external);
• Pro-actively solve or escalate unforeseen issues and exceptions;
• Help junior team members to perform according to standards;
• Identify opportunities and run process improvement initiatives to achieve accuracy and efficiency;
• Serve as a deputy team leader;
• Execute all other position related tasks delegated by line manager.

To be considered for this role, please be aware that we will be looking for the following main requirements:

• Strong end to end Travel and Expense Management knowledge;
• 2-3 years of professional experience in TEM/accounting;
• Accounting/ finance background;
• Ability to build good relationship with colleagues and stakeholders;
• Customer service mindset;
• Strong technical skills and attention to details;
• Fluent in English.
