As a Senior Category Manager - Machine Investment at NKT, you will establish and oversee the development and implementation of global category strategies, delivering value through commercial and technical activities with external suppliers. Oversee global procurement strategies for success

• Oversee a category with considerable business outcome
• Develop and implement global category strategies aligned with business lines and corporate functions
• Build and maintain a solid stakeholder network across business lines and production sites
• Govern supplier relationships, inspire innovation, and manage risks associated with the category, suppliers, and materials
• Conduct sourcing and contracting based on global category strategy, considering sustainability, competitiveness, and innovation
• Deliver category savings targets, maintain master data quality, and conduct continuous supplier market research

You will report to the Director, Head of Procurement Investment, and work closely with senior business stakeholders and external suppliers. This role can be based in Cologne, Brøndby, Malmö, or Karlskrona, with up to 25% travel time, mainly within Europe.

Strategic leader with a passion for procurement

We are looking for a strategic leader with over 10 years of relevant work experience and extensive experience in category management (CapEx) or similar strategic/commercial tasks. You should have a strategic mindset with proficiency in execution, solid communication skills, and the ability to professionally represent NKT at the highest levels. Fluency in English is necessary, and knowing German is a benefit.

You also have:

• M.Sc. or B.Sc. in Engineering, Economics, or Management
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PPT, Word)
• Knowledge of SAP
• Experience in mechanical engineering (beneficial)
