    As Key Account Manager (m/f/d) in our Business Line Applications, you will be responsible for one of the growth segments in our sales area. There you will develop and coordinate all strategic tasks for cables and accessories in the medium-voltage network that are relevant to the renewable segment. You will become a key success factor for the sales segment and can actively help shape the current developments in the field of PV and wind.

    In addition to your responsibility for sales and earnings, you are also responsible for expanding new customer relationships and opening up new markets. You will be supported by a motivated team of experienced personalities from different departments. The sources of supply for the corresponding product segment are in Germany, the Czech Republic and Denmark, which means that you can establish international relationships and work across borders.

    You work mainly from the home office and travel to customers; The anchor points are our locations in Cologne, Berlin and Nordenham.

    Your main tasks are:

    • Development and follow-up of sales and earnings targets as well as market share optimization
    • Specifications for market-oriented offers (price management) and product management
    • Development of market knowledge in the field of renewable energies, independent market observation and derivation of measures
    • Optimization of marketing mix strategies
    • Development of negotiation strategies and corresponding preparation of action decisions
    • Preparation of framework agreements with customers
    • Competitive analysis and trends
    • Development of value-added arguments for existing and new customers with a focus on two business areas (applications & accessories/sets)
    • Product training for customers on the selection of suitable materials and optimization of the network configuration (system solution approach)
    • New customer acquisition and existing customer management
    • Close cooperation with other departments
    • Monitoring of critical success factors such as adherence to delivery dates and handling of claims

     

    We are looking for a convincing sales personality with a high level of emotional intelligence. As a team player, you act in a relationship-oriented manner. In addition, you are used to communicating confidently with different personalities and hierarchical levels and to building and maintaining a network. We require flexibility and willingness to travel.

    You should also bring the following requirements with you:

    • Completed commercial or technical training or a degree in industrial engineering, economics, engineering, electrical engineering or a comparable qualification
    • At least 2 years of professional experience in technical sales desirable and a broad technical interest
    • Experience in the energy market desirable
    • Confident handling of Microsoft Office applications and ERP systems, knowledge of SAP an advantage
    • German spoken and written, good knowledge of English, other languages ​​an advantage
    • Strong communication skills, openness and interest in customers and products
    • Powers of persuasion and negotiation skills for continuous sales success
    • Solution-oriented, self-responsible and structured action as well as the ability to work in a team
    • A high degree of commitment and a quick grasp
    • Willingness to travel (80% travel within Germany, 20% internationally)
