NKT is presenting at the digital conference Baltic Offshore Wind Transmission on November 24th 2020.
Global Transmission Report is organising a one-day virtual conference on Baltic Offshore Wind Transmission. The mission of the conference is to present the plans, opportunities and technology solutions for the development of the offshore wind sector and the related transmission infrastructure in the Baltic Sea region.
NKT engaged from the very start in the development of large scale off-shore wind parks (OWF) with cutting-edge export cable solutions, including several projects in the Baltic Sea. As a market leader for turnkey export cable systems, NKT is ready to support the accelerated expansion of OWFs in Europe, including the Baltic Sea, towards the ambitious goal to make Europe fossil-free in 2050. Given the criticality with a high reliability for the OWFs export cable systems, in addition to the expected massive investments in the total OWF systems, robust cable technologies and reliable installation methods are both a must. These conditions shall also be reflected in the commercial set-ups for the OWF projects.
At the Baltic Offshore Wind Transmission conference, Bo Nilsson, Director Business Development for High Voltage Solutions at NKT will share our recommendations based on years of experience at the frontline how to mitigate risks in offshore wind projects, both during the project execution as well as during the 25+ years of operation”.
