Beyond compliance: How CPR is redefining electrical fire protection

When a fire breaks out in a building, every second counts. Smoke spreads fast, escape routes become hazardous, and critical systems fail. Across Europe, electrical fires account for roughly 25–30 % of domestic fires. This is the context in which the European Construction Products Regulation (CPR) becomes critical. At NKT, we have worked to make CPR easier to understand and implement, both for our customers and for ourselves. Because for us, CPR is more than a regulatory requirement. It is a framework for raising the bar on safety and addressing the evolving fire-risk profile of modern buildings.
