The NKT Victoria is the world's most advanced cable-laying vessel, providing improved cable-laying precision based on e.g DP3 (dynamic positioning of the highest class capability), and uses remotely operated vehicles with cameras and sonar.
NKT Victoria is one of the world's most advanced and fuel-efficient, cable-laying vessels, capable of simultaneous dual HVDC and fibre-optic cable-laying, HVAC and deep-sea installation with high-capacity tensioning system.
The two turntables have a massive combined capacity of 9000 tons, plus a 500 ton capacity fibre-optic tank below deck, allowing us to enable complete missions, from the deep blue seas to the shallow shores. The team manning NKT Victoria are all highly experienced and skilled.

The Caithness-Moray project represents a £1.1bn capital investment by SSEN, centred on a submarine cable capable of carrying up to 1,200MW beneath the Moray Firth. With associated reinforcement of the existing onshore transmission network, the project will represent the largest investment in the north of Scotland’s electricity network since the hydro development era of the 1950s. The installation of the 113 km long submarine cable system was the maiden project for NKT Victoria.
