Install and repair offshore cable systems

NKT Victoria is NKT’s purpose-built cable-laying vessel for high-voltage offshore cable projects. It supports cable laying and related installation activities, including projects that require pull-in and jointing operations, and can also be mobilised for offshore cable service and repair work.
NKT Victoria has supported major offshore wind and interconnector projects, including Dogger Bank Wind Farm and NordLink, as well as subsea cable repairs. Detailed vessel information and technical data are available on the dedicated vessel page.

Transport cable for offshore operations

NKT Agrippina is a purpose-built power cable transport barge that supports cable logistics between production, loading,  and offshore project locations. Its shallow draught allows it to operate in areas with restricted water depth, adding flexibility to offshore cable transport and handling.
NKT Agrippina has transported offshore power cables for projects including Ostwind 2 and Baltic Power.

Expand offshore cable-laying capability

NKT Eleonora is NKT's new cable-laying vessel, developed to expand marine capability for increasingly large and complex offshore power cable projects.
Building on NKT's experience with NKT Victoria, the vessel will add further cable-laying and subsea installation capacity to the marine fleet.

Lay cables in nearshore environments

NKT Isabella is being equipped for nearshore cable laying. Purpose-built cable-laying equipment is designed for project sections where shallow water, shore approaches, or local route conditions require a dedicated marine solution.
The barge adds dedicated cable-laying capacity for nearshore sections that may not be accessible to larger offshore installation vessels.

Subsea cable burial and protection

NKT T3600 is a specialised subsea trenching system designed for the burial and protection of offshore power cables. Combining cutting and jetting capabilities, the system can be adapted to a wide range of seabed conditions and installation requirements.

Dogger Bank Wind Farm

NKT supplied high-voltage cable systems for Dogger Bank Wind Farm, one of the world’s largest offshore wind developments. Supported by NKT Victoria, the project demonstrated the coordinated execution of cable manufacturing, marine logistics, cable laying, and offshore installation activities at scale.
By integrating specialised vessels, engineering expertise, and detailed planning, NKT supported the delivery of complex offshore cable infrastructure and the reliable transmission of renewable energy from offshore generation to the onshore grid.

Beatrice offshore cable repair

NKT completed a turnkey repair of a 220 kV high-voltage alternating current subsea export cable at the Beatrice offshore transmission system. The project demonstrates the marine mobilisation, cable-system expertise, specialist repair resources, and testing needed to return an offshore connection to operation.
