Privacy Statement for job applications

A. General
Protecting your personal data is important to us at NKT. Therefore, we will only collect, process and use your personal data on our career website in compliance with the  EU General Data Privacy Regulation (GDPR) as well as this privacy statement for our career website.
This Privacy Statement only applies to the Career Website. The general data privacy policy of NKT’s group website can be accessed here.
B. Your personal data
Personal data means any information concerning an identified or identifiable individual. Such data includes, for example, your name, your telephone number as well as your postal and e-mail addresses. We will only collect, process and use your personal data as far as legally permitted or with your prior consent, e.g. for a recruiter to contact you.
C. Candidate Community
The Candidate Community is the starting point for our Career Website. After setting up an account, you may apply for a specific job. To facilitate the process, information corresponding to the respective job you have selected are automatically entered in the job agent (information about the position and location). You can revise or deactivate a job agent at any time. Furthermore, you may use the link contained in the job agent notifications to unsubscribe at any time.
To create your account, you must provide your first name and surname, your e-mail address as well as your job category and enter a password of your choice. In addition, you may consent to a recruiter contacting you personally. You can update the personal data in your Candidate Community Account at any time and may also, if you wish, enter additional information.
By registering with the Candidate Community, you give your consent to NKT viewing the above-mentioned data (mandatory data, voluntary data and automatically collected data) and using it for statistical or analytical purposes. Insofar as you have given your consent, recruiters from NKT may use this data to contact you.
You may, at any time, revoke your consent with future effect. However, should you do so, your Candidate Community Account will be deleted. Furthermore, you may delete your account whenever you wish.
D. How to apply for a job
If you wish to apply for a job, you will need to set up an Applicant Management Account in addition to your Candidate Community Account and to supply additional information such as your place of residence. To simplify the management of the accounts, the data used for logging in to your Candidate Community Account (e-mail address and password) will be transferred to the applicant management system so that you can use the same data to log in to your Applicant Management Account at any time. Similarly, any other data which you have already provided to the Candidate Community will be automatically transferred to the applicant management system.
Any personal data or attachments (such as your résumé) which you upload to the applicant management system after registering will only be saved and used for the application process or in the run-up to it. You are responsible for ensuring that the data you provide is correct and accurate. We would like to point out that if you provide false information during the application process that this may lead to disciplinary action under employment law even after appointment.
The responsible members of the HR team and the persons from the company involved in filling the vacancy will have access to your data. In addition, selected NKT employees will be able to access your data for administrative purposes.
You may, at any time, modify the options that you have selected or make changes to your personal data. Similarly, you may delete your entire Applicant Management Account at any time. In this case your Candidate Community Account will be deleted as well.
At the end of the application process, all data concerning a specific application will be deleted in accordance with the applicable law. This may take up to 24 months.
If you do not log in to your Application Management Account again within a period of 12 months, your account will be automatically deleted without any further notice. If future amendments of the law require changes to the retention period, we will implement them without giving you prior notice.
If you are already employed by NKT, your data will be stored and processed as employee data.
 
E. Right to obtain, correct, block or delete information
You have a right to obtain information regarding the personal data stored about you. Furthermore, you have the right to correct your personal data or have it blocked or deleted. You may, at any time, revoke your consent to the collection, processing and use of data with future effect.
