Controller with interest in ESG

Can you strengthen the accuracy and reliability of ESG/sustainability data? Would you enjoy expanding and optimizing our sustainability governance structures and processes? You do not need prior experience within the ESG/sustainability area, but if you are eager to learn, ready for a steep learning curve, and be hands-on, we would like to hear from you.
 

You will be an important part of strengthening our ESG/sustainability reporting
NKT is growing and we are strengthening our Group Sustainability Reporting team to support the business. You will support the implementation of ESRS, and will thrive in being proactive and work independently with regular team sparring. In general, you are interested in the development of digital support and automation of ESG data collection.

The position is based at our headquarters in Brøndby and the team is an integrated part of our Group Finance organization. We expect up to 20 travel days per year.
 

Your main responsibilities will be to:  
 

• Conduct consolidation and reporting of ESG data including external reporting of sustainability key figures.
• Review and map existing processes, developing and implementing accounting policies and procedures.
• Optimize data management systems and processes for efficient data consolidation.
• Support assurance readiness and external audits.
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders.
• Support and train the business lines and local units.
• Facilitate the link between sustainability and finance.

Enjoy interacting with the business
To excel in this role, we believe you have proven communication and interpersonal skills, allowing you to engage with stakeholders at all levels to support our sustainability journey. You would also enjoy both training the business lines and local units and facilitating the link to the external auditors. You have proven documentation skills, and you might have used them to develop and maintain guidelines and accounting policies.

Your CV probably also includes:
 

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in economics, audit, or a related field
• 2+ years of experience in financial reporting, external audit, controlling, or similar roles
• Experience with data governance and reporting. 
• Professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken
