NKT Shared Service Centre for Accounting and Financial Control in Kaunas is looking for a motivated, curious and goals oriented Accounting Specialist to join our Travel Expense Management team  and become a part of our growing global team. What can you expect from the position?

You will be based in a modern open space office in Kaunas and as Accounting Specialist in TEM team  you will be playing a crucial role in ensuring that all transactions are processed with efficiency and quality according to predefined standards and work processes, and helping accounting associates perform according to standards. You will be expected to work cross-functionally with teams across the organization and handle queries from customers in a timely manner as well as deal with financial paperwork, filing, and audit queries. Your main tasks will include but not be limited to:

  • Processing incoming invoices (and their corrections) according to local, international and industry specific accounting requirements.
  • Processing employees travel and business reports, submitting Internal controls (Compliance).
  • Participating in period-close procedures and delivering accurate reports to clients while assisting senior members of the team in preparation of other daily, monthly, quarterly, and yearly documents.
  • Assisting senior team members in handling legal compliance processes in association with the outsourcing partner.
  • Confirming suppliers’ balances, performing verification and reconciliation of assigned balance sheet accounts, providing accruals to GL Team, and monitoring the financial transactions while checking and reviewing supporting documentation.
  • Submitting requests to Master Data and providing figures for KPIs calculations.
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvement and participating in assigned projects in order to support business needs and priorities.

What do we expect from the candidate?

Or maybe you are adept at internal controls and risk management practices and would like to put your in-depth knowledge to practice in international environment? Then maybe you are the one we are looking for! You could be just the right candidate if you are proactive and your strong analytical skills with attention to detail are supported by:

  • 1-3 years of experience in accounting, accounts receivables/payables/general ledger accounting from a Shared Services organisation or a major company.
  • Qualification in Finance & Accounting, with an in-depth knowledge and a good overall picture allowing to perform independently with little guidance (Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related discipline, higher commercial certificate or similar).
  • Good command of Microsoft Office tools and MS Excel in particular.
  • Knowledge of SAP or similar ERP system would be an advantage as well as international experience.
  • Audit experience (desired but not required).
  • Fluent written and verbal English.

Salary range for this position is from 1800 Eur to 2300 Eur Gross.
