To meet the growth of NKT connecting a greener world we are now expanding our Stakeholder Relations team with a new role as "Stakeholder Relations Coordinator".
 
This new role will be responsible for initiating and driving public stakeholder engagements in especially Denmark, Sweden, Germany and at international events such as Folkemødet, Almedalen, COP’s, Wind Europe, EU Grid Forum and North Sea Cooperation.

In the role as Stakeholder Relations Coordinator you will support and coordinate our activities in larger selected public and political events in key markets. In doing so, you will work closely with other members of our team as well as other Group functions and Business Units. With this new role NKT seek to play an even more visible and important role in shaping the public agenda, nationally and internationally.
 
You will be reporting directly to our Head of Stakeholder Relations, Michael Suhr. The department reports to the Chief Commercial Officer, who is member of the Corporate Leadership Team which also include our CEO, CFO and COO. You will therefore be an important part of securing the right framework conditions for a continuing growth of NKT.
 
As Stakeholder Relations Coordinator, you will:

  • Oversee the day-to-day responsibilities of planning, coordinating and conducting our engagement in larger public events to help NKT connecting a greener world in close collaboration with NKT’s other Group functions and local business units;
  • Assess gaps and opportunities for the involvement of NKT in larger public events;
  • Develop and implement a public engagement and messaging strategy;
  • Continuously update stakeholder engagement strategies and identify crucial sectors where NKT can promote and guide the shift toward a more sustainable and electrified society;  
  • Establish credible relationships with key public stakeholders and interest organizations;
  • Develop and implement joint advocacy initiatives with other stakeholders who are engaged in connecting a greener world. 

 
Knowledge about public stakeholder engagement and the green transformation in a new geopolitical world order

To work well with this role, you

  • like to take initiative and collaborate with ease with a broad variety of internal and external stakeholders,
  • are concrete, factual and are meticulous at following through.
  • have good communication skills both in writing and orally.

 
Additionally, you have had some of the following experiences in the past.:
 

  • Working with larger public events and coordinating them;
  • Significant knowledge of the green transition and energy policies in Europe;
  • Demonstrated ability to build effective relationships with external stakeholders such as interest organizations, NGOs and political parties;
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to enable effective relationships locally, across a global organization; and with external agencies and partners; 
  • Political flair and business insight; 
  • Ability to work collaboratively on projects in a complex environment with a variety of internal and external stakeholders;
  • Positive skills in co-ordination and organization. Fluent in English and knowledge of Danish, Swedish or German.            

 
The position is located at our headquarter in Broendby, Denmark, along with your manager and most of our C-level.
 
You may expect travel with up to 50 days, mostly in Northern Europe, in correlation to the events and activities planned.
