Be the People Partner for Our Operations 
We’re looking for a Senior HR Business Partner to support our Operations teams (Production & Maintenance) and help shape a workplace where people thrive and culture evolves. In this role, you'll combine strategic business partnering with effective HR delivery. You’ll participate in the full employee lifecycle, support local implementation of global processes, coordinate engagement and wellbeing efforts, and act as a key contributor to strategic HR initiatives—including the integration of SolidAl into the NKT Group. You'll report to the HR Director Iberia and collaborate with a global network of HR colleagues and local leaders to contribute effectively to people and performance.

Key Responsibilities:


Strategic HR Partnering

  • Act as the HR Business Partner for Operations, supporting Production and Maintenance teams with proactive, business-aligned HR solutions.
  • Partner with managers to understand workforce needs and translate them into targeted HR actions that promote engagement, productivity, and development.
  • Support the implementation of global HR processes—Performance Management, ASR, Talent Management, Succession Planning—locally and in alignment with the HR calendar.

Operational HR Excellence & Labour Relations

  • Oversee and contribute to the full range of HR activities: recruitment, onboarding, training, performance, talent management and offboarding.
  • Optimize local HR practices and ensure alignment with both global policies and Portuguese employment legislation.
  • Support labour relations, handling of disciplinary processes, and ensuring legal compliance.

Engagement & Culture

  • Champion employee engagement, D&I, and wellbeing across the site.
  • Coordinate initiatives such as employee surveys, follow-up action planning, and workplace culture improvements.
  • Support employer branding activities and internal communication to elevate the employee experience and attract top talent.

This position is based in Esposende and can follow a hybrid work model (4/1).


Key Qualifications & Experience:

  • Degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, Law, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience as an HR Business Partner in a multinational industrial/manufacturing environment.
  • Full-cycle HR expertise across recruitment, performance management, learning, talent management and compliance.
  • Proficient working knowledge of Portuguese labour law and experience in labour relations.
  • Effective communication and relationship-building skills, promoting a cooperative approach.
  • Experience with HR systems (SuccessFactors) and skilled with MS Office.
  • Fluency in Portuguese and English (written and spoken).
