GL Accountant

NKT SSC in Kaunas is seeking a GL Accountant to join one of three GL teams. If you have experience working with day-to-day accounting operations and you are looking for an opportunity to utilize everything you know, we have just the right job for you. What can you expect from the position:
Joining a team of 10+ expert team members will offer you an opportunity to contribute to proficiency, further standardization as well as automation of General Ledger process while closely working with local accounting. The position is based in Kaunas and will be reporting to General Ledger Team Manager. The main responsibilities for the role will be managing period-end activities and ensuring that all assigned tasks are done efficiently and with high quality while handling inquiries from internal customers as well as outsourcing partners in a timely manner. Other tasks will be:

• Oversee and process G/L transactions including not limited to accruals and provisions, IC transactions, reconciliations, BS & PL reclasses.
• Oversee and handle legal compliance processes, such as: statutory reporting, corporate tax return, audits, WHT and statistical reporting.
• Identify opportunities and implement initiatives for process improvement regarding quality and productivity.  Solve or escalate unforeseen issues and expectations.
• Perform training, be a role model for junior accountants. As well, supervise junior colleagues with coordination, organization and control of accounting files.
• Own and frequently update SOPs and support process accuracy and documentations are in place.

What do we expect from candidate:

• Proficient technical accounting background with depth knowledge of full cycle accounting process.
• Analytical skills with attention to details.
• Degree in Accounting/Finance.
• Audit experience is required.
• Fluent in English.
• Collaborative and able to work independently and guide others.

Salary range for this position is from 2700 Eur to 3100 Eur Gross.
