In the role of Project Engineer at NKT, you will manage the technical scope of delivery projects and ensure that our cable system designs align with customer requirements, industry standards and project goals. You will work with advanced modelling tools, perform electrical, thermal and mechanical calculations and act as a key technical voice from contract handover to project completion. By coordinating with stakeholders, you secure specifications, manage documentation and risks and help ensure safe, efficient and high‑quality project execution.
 
Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing technical aspects of the project.
• Designing high-quality, cost-effective cable systems in adherence to customer specifications and industry standards.
• Conducting technical calculations encompassing electrical, thermal, and mechanical aspects.
• Managing cost calculations for products, testing, and engineering work.
• Assessing risks and opportunities in delivery projects.
• Serving as a technical interface to customers in delivery projects.
• Crafting technical documents outlining the proposed solutions for customers.

Required skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as electrical engineering, physics, mathematics or chemistry
• Proficiency using modern 3D modeling software applications, such as Matlab and Comsol
• Fluency in Swedish and English (spoken and written)
• Experience preparing technical calculations and documentation
• Previous experience in a related technical field would be advantageous.
