HSE Manager UK

We’re looking for an experienced HSE Department Manager (Tenders & Projects) to manage Health, Safety & Environmental performance across our UK customer tender pipeline and project portfolio.

You’ll set the governance and standards, lead a specialist team of employees and consultants, and partner with project/tender leaders to deliver safe, compliant and effective execution across offshore, nearshore and onshore works.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Own HS&E governance for tenders and projects (plans, risk/RAMS oversight, audits, KPIs, escalation and learning).
  • Manage and resource the Tender & Projects HS&E capability (mobilisation, utilisation, competence, performance, continuity).
  • Assure HS&E and environmental compliance to legal, customer and contract/permit requirements.
  • Provide senior HS&E interface to customers and internal stakeholders (Project/Tender Directors, Marine, Engineering, QA, Legal/Contracts, Procurement, HR).
  • Implement continuous improvements in reporting, standards, templates and project learning.

Your profile

  • Relevant degree (Engineering, Health & Safety, Environmental Management, Business or similar).
  • Significant HS&E leadership experience in complex infrastructure / offshore / marine / construction environments.
  • Solid understanding of legal, regulatory and contractual HS&E requirements and how to translate them into practical controls.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage consultant-heavy delivery models and contractor/subcontractor interfaces.
  • NEBOSH General Certificate (Diploma or equivalent desirable).
  • ISO 45001 Internal Auditor (ISO 14001 Internal Auditor desirable).
  • Fluent English;
  • Willing to travel to sites/vessels and offices as needed.
