Lead integrated supply chain performance across global cable projects

Join a global organisation at the forefront of the green transition. As Head of Supply Chain Management in Grid Solutions, you will be responsible for end‑to‑end supply chain performance across a complex, project‑driven portfolio, ensuring reliable delivery through robust planning, sourcing execution, logistics and project integration.

This role sits at the intersection of strategy and execution — translating demand, sourcing strategies and operational capabilities into consistent project outcomes across hubs and regions.

Your role – owning the integrated supply chain outcome

You lead the Supply Chain Management function within Grid Solutions, with accountability for how planning, logistics and project supply chain execution work together to support business priorities.

Your scope covers four tightly connected capability areas:

Portfolio & Capacity Planning

  • Own project and portfolio planning across tenders, backlog and execution
  • Ensure transparent capacity visibility and prioritisation across hubs and business lines
  • Drive planning governance and capacity‑related S&OP processes

Sourcing Execution & Capacity Allocation

  • Ensure effective allocation and utilisation of internal and externally sourced capacity
  • Act as the operational interface to external cable sourcing, translating sourcing strategies into executable project plans
  • Collaborate closely with Group Procurement, who retain ownership of supplier strategy, commercial frameworks and negotiations

Logistics & Network Performance

  • Define and continuously improve logistics, warehousing and storage network set‑ups
  • Ensure efficient material flows from production and stock to storage and installation sites
  • Drive standardisation, transparency and continuous improvement across logistics operations

Project Supply Chain Integration

  • Ensure end‑to‑end supply chain performance in projects, integrating planning, procurement execution and logistics
  • Establish clear roles, processes and ways of working for project supply chain across hubs
  • Proactively manage delivery risk, trade‑offs and escalations impacting project performance

You work in close partnership with commercial, execution and procurement teams globally. Travel is limited and driven by business needs.

A leader who brings clarity, structure and collaboration

This role suits a leader who thrives in complex, cross‑functional environments. You bring structure where there is ambiguity, make balanced decisions under competing priorities, and build trust across interfaces.

You likely bring:

  • Senior experience in supply chain, operations or planning within project‑based environments
  • Strong understanding of end‑to‑end supply chain flows, including planning, sourcing execution and logistics
  • Ability to lead through matrix organisations and align diverse stakeholders
  • Sound judgement in balancing cost, capacity, delivery and risk
  • Strong leadership capability
