Senior Software Developer (Full stack Developer)

Full-stack development for AI-enabled business applications

As NKT continues its growth journey, more tenders and projects will run in parallel creating a clear need for scalable IT solutions across the organisation. In this role you sit within the business, working directly with stakeholders to turn their requirements into working proof of concepts using modern frontend (Vue, React) and backend services (Python, C#/.NET). When a concept proves its value, you hand it over to IT for productionisation. Do you enjoy being the bridge between what the business needs and what technology can deliver?

Turn business requirements into working proof of concepts

You will work embedded with the business, gathering requirements first hand and building proof of concepts that demonstrate whether an idea is worth pursuing. The work is iterative and agile, with short feedback loops and frequent demos to stakeholders. Once a concept is validated, you document it and hand it over to IT for further development and operation.

Your responsibility will be to:

• Work directly with business stakeholders to gather and clarify requirements
• Build proof of concepts rapidly using Vue, React, Python, and C#/.NET
• Demo and iterate with stakeholders in short agile cycles
• Document concepts and hand them over to IT for productionisation
• Explore how AI and data can solve concrete business problems

You will report to the Head of AI & Digitalization and work day to day alongside business stakeholders, data scientists and engineers, Global IT, and Business Lines. Location: G3C Chennai. International travel may occur for training.

A strong communicator who thrives close to the business

You communicate clearly and confidently with non-technical stakeholders, and you are comfortable asking the questions that turn a vague idea into a concrete requirement. You work in an agile way, favouring quick iterations and visible progress over long planning cycles. You take responsibility for your own work, contribute well in a team setting, and maintain composure when priorities change. You are comfortable collaborating across geographies and functions, and you value inclusive ways of working where different perspectives are welcomed.

You also have:

• 10–15 years of relevant software development experience
• Frontend development experience with Vue and/or React
• Backend development experience with Python and C#/.NET, including API development
• Proven experience working directly with business stakeholders in an agile setting
