Project financial control within global energy operations

As a Business Controller, Projects, you will be a key financial partner within project teams, working closely with project managers to ensure clear budgeting, forecasting, and financial follow-up throughout the project lifecycle. Based in Kaunas, you will be part of NKT’s Transmission business, contributing to projects that support the green transition and power infrastructure development.

Supporting project finances through structure and insight

In this role, you will be responsible for project-related financial planning, follow-up, and reporting, ensuring transparency and reliability of financial data. You will provide analysis that supports decision-making while cooperating closely with both finance colleagues and business stakeholders. The position offers exposure across multiple project phases and contact with different functions in a global organization.

Your responsibility will be to:

  • Ensure accurate financial actuals, forecasts, and lifetime project data in ERP systems.
  • Prepare and analyze budgets, forecasts, and financial templates.
  • Report on costs, revenue, profitability, and key project KPIs.
  • Support project teams with financial analysis and guidance.
  • Identify risks and communicate potential financial exposures in a timely manner.

You will report solid-line to the Business Controlling Manager and dotted-line to the Director of Project Controlling. The role is based on-site in Kaunas, with occasional travel of approximately 20 days per year.

Curious, analytical finance professional with project focus

You enjoy working with numbers while understanding the wider business context behind them. You are comfortable cooperating with different stakeholders and presenting financial information in a clear and structured way. You are responsible for your tasks, maintain accuracy when deadlines are tight, and are motivated by continuous learning and improvement.

You also have:

  • A degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • At least 4 years of experience within Finance, Controlling, or FP&A.
  • Fluent written and spoken English.
  • Advanced skills in MS Excel and MS Office tools.
  • Experience with SAP or other ERP systems.

Salary range for this position is from 3900 Eur to 4800 Eur Gross.
