Start your finance trainee journey across Europe

Start in September 2026 and join a 18‑month Finance Graduate Program that supports the green energy transformation and a more sustainable society. You will be permanently employed from day one and rotate through finance teams across Europe to build a broad view of how a global company works. You will solve well-defined tasks, learn through tailored training, and build your network across functions and locations. Are you ready to be mobile and explore a future role in another country?

Rotate through finance functions in an international program

Over 18 months, you will complete several job-rotation blocks, including international rotations, to build an end-to-end understanding of NKT and its Finance community. You will work with areas such as FP&A, Treasury, Controlling (business and projects), business partnering, and accounting, and you will join a high-profile trainee project sponsored by a senior business leader. You will also have a mentor to support your development throughout the program.

Your responsibility will be to:

  • Deliver defined tasks during each rotation and share outcomes with the team
  • Support analyses and reporting across different finance areas
  • Contribute to a cross‑trainee project with clear milestones and stakeholders
  • Learn and apply new methods through tailored training blocks
  • Build collaboration across functions and international colleagues

You will rotate among finance teams across Europe, with travel as part of the program. We are hiring in Sweden, Germany, the Czech Republic, Portugal, and Lithuania, and you can apply from any of these locations. The program includes international collaboration and the option of a future role close to the business, for example at a production site or in a shared service environment.

Curious finance graduate ready for international collaboration

You are curious, structured, and comfortable learning in new settings. You enjoy working with others, sharing solutions, and communicating clearly with people from different backgrounds. You manage your tasks, stay attentive to details, and approach problems with a structured approach. You are open to travel and to building relationships across teams and countries during the program.

You also have:

  • A completed Master’s degree in Finance (completed by start date)
  • Availability to start in early September 2026
  • Advanced command of both written and oral English
  • Permanent authorisation to work in the EU or CH/NO citizenship

Grow your finance capabilities for the green transition

NKT is committed to developing a diverse organization and culture where people of diverse backgrounds can grow and are inspired to do their best. We have high ambitions on establishing gender diversity at NKT and encouraging all interested candidates to apply – even if you don’t tick all the boxes described. We believe that a diverse organization enables long-term performance, and that an inclusive and welcoming culture creates a better work environment.

You will be part of a collaborative, international trainee community with permanent employment from day one and the benefits our employees normally have. The program combines practical rotations with tailored training and a mentor setup, helping you build a broad finance profile, understand different business areas, and grow a network across Europe. After completing the program, the aim is a role that matches your skills and interests within NKT’s Finance community.

“We offer a structured trainee journey with rotations across finance areas and countries, where you can grow professionally, take real responsibility for defined tasks, and build a network across NKT while contributing to our journey to connect a greener world.”, says Head of Talent Programmes, Helena Darmell.
