Project Sustainability Associate

Support project sustainability delivery across NKT Transmission projects

Are you highly organised, detail-focused and motivated by turning sustainability commitments into practical project support? NKT is looking for a Project Sustainability Associate (PSA) to support project sustainability delivery across  transmission projects, working from a UK base and collaborating across the wider portfolio as needed. This is an opportunity to play a key role in documentation, reporting, evidence preparation and coordination, helping ensure sustainability commitments are implemented consistently and are audit-ready throughout project delivery.

What you’ll do

Working closely with the Project Sustainability Managers (PSMs) and Senior Project Sustainability Manager (Sr. PSM), within the same execution delivery line, you will:

  • Support sustainability documentation and reporting, helping maintain project sustainability plans, trackers, reporting packs and client-ready materials across active Transmission projects.
  • Prepare and organise evidence packs to ensure project sustainability information is complete, traceable and ready for reporting, audits and reviews across the project portfolio.
  • Coordinate inputs across project functions, working with Engineering, Installation, Procurement, QHSE, Production, site teams and Document Control to gather, structure and follow up on required information for project sustainability delivery.
  • Maintain KPI and action trackers, supporting predictable delivery through accurate progress monitoring, issue follow-up and documentation control.
  • Contribute to audit readiness and continuous improvement by supporting non-conformity tracking, lessons learned and reuse of good practice across projects.

What you bring

We’re looking for someone who can provide reliable, well-structured sustainability support within a complex project environment and work effectively across multiple projects and stakeholder groups.

Your background may include:

  • Experience supporting sustainability, environmental or compliance-related work, within project delivery, tendering, construction, utilities, energy or infrastructure.
  • A good understanding of sustainability documentation, KPI tracking, reporting packs and audit evidence preparation.
  • Good coordination skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional stakeholders across operational and technical teams.
  • Effective organization, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple actions and deadlines consistently.
  • A relevant degree in sustainability, environmental science, engineering, project management or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Where you’ll work

This role is UK-based with an on-site/hybrid working model, supporting  project sustainability delivery across NKT Transmission projects and working with a wide range of project stakeholders. Some travel may be required depending on project needs.

Why join us

At NKT, you will have the opportunity to contribute to sustainability performance in real project delivery, supporting major infrastructure projects that are part of the energy transition. You’ll join a collaborative and supportive environment where structure, initiative and continuous improvement are valued, and where you can develop your experience in sustainability, project coordination and stakeholder engagement and execution support across an international project portfolio.
