Support workplace safety and environmental compliance

As a Safety and Environmental Technician, you will work with hazard identification, risk assessments, environmental compliance, and preventive action, while contributing to a safe site environment in Esposende. Implement safety measures and reduce workplace risks

As a Safety and Environmental Technician, you will help maintain safe working conditions and legal compliance across the site. The role focuses on hazard identification, risk assessment, accident analysis, and the implementation of corrective and preventive measures. You will also work with Worker Health to support workplace actions for people in more vulnerable situations. This is a practical and collaborative role where careful follow-up, sound judgement, and consistency are important in day-to-day work.

Your responsibility will be to:

  • Plan and carry out hazard identification and risk assessments
  • Implement measures to reduce workplace risks
  • Monitor working conditions for workers in more vulnerable situations
  • Analyse work accidents and prepare reports with corrective and preventive actions
  • Monitor legal compliance in safety and environmental matters

You will report to the QHSE Manager and work closely with Worker Health and site teams. This is an onsite position based in Esposende.

Detail-oriented and collaborative safety-focused professional

You are an attentive and observant professional who values safe work practices and clear routines. You communicate clearly, work well with different teams, and approach situations with attention and consistency. You are comfortable reviewing facts, identifying gaps, and following through on actions that improve workplace conditions. You also bring a practical mindset and a respectful approach when working with colleagues across the organisation.

You also have:

  • University Degree in Engineering
  • CAP for SST Technician (Level VI)
  • CCP instructor
  • 1–2 years of professional experience in an industrial environment
  • Fluency in spoken and written English
