Maintain and develop global network infrastructure

Ensure reliable network services across global operations

As a Network Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and developing NKT's network infrastructure, ensuring stable and high-quality operations without unplanned business interruptions. You will work with network technologies including WAN, WLAN, SD-WAN, MPLS, VLANs, routing protocols, cloud networking, firewalls, switches and routers. The role combines operational support, issue resolution and infrastructure improvements, helping employees across the organization access reliable network services.

Your responsibility will be to:

• Maintain and continuously improve network infrastructure and suggest network design enhancements.
• Configure and support routers, switches, firewalls and related network components.
• Monitor network performance and take preventive measures to maintain service delivery.
• Identify and resolve network hardware and software issues.
• Support employees with network-related incidents and operational needs.

You will report to the Network Manager, Darius Martusevicius, and be part of the IT Infrastructure & Operations team. The position is based in Kaunas, Lithuania, and includes approximately 5–10 travel days per year.

We are looking for a team-oriented person who communicates clearly and enjoys working with colleagues across functions and locations. You are structured in your approach, able to manage priorities effectively and motivated by delivering reliable services. You are curious about new technologies, keen to learn and comfortable working in an international environment where cooperation and knowledge sharing are part of daily work.

You also have:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience with network configuration, maintenance and resolving network issues.
• Experience configuring routers, switches, firewalls and network software.
• Good understanding of WAN, WLAN, SD-WAN, MPLS, VLANs, subnetting and routing protocols.
• Fluent written and spoken English.

Salary range for this position is 3300-4400 Eur Gross.
