NKT in the US – help us connect a greener world

NKT connects a greener world with high-quality power cable technology and takes centre stage as the world moves towards green energy. Founded in 1891, NKT designs, manufactures and installs low-, medium- and high-voltage power cable solutions enabling sustainable energy transmission. NKT has innovated the power cable technology building the infrastructure for the first light bulbs to the megawatts created by renewable energy today. NKT is headquartered in Denmark and employs 3,900 people.   We have a strong European footprint, but are ramping up in the US rapidly and with high ambitions to support the growing need for sustainable energy solutions. 

All over the world, the need for sustainable energy and reliable electrical grids is growing. Also in the US, we will see a massively increasing demand for our cable solutions, especially to enable the safe and efficient use of renewable energy.  

We have already been selected as preferred supplier for the Champlain Hudson Power Express project, which will transport green energy from Canada to Manhattan. This large scale project shows the great fit for NKT to support the many ambitious US infrastructure projects. In addition to our high voltage cable solutions, we are also powering-up other parts of our business in the US, such as our telecom cables.
