At NKT SSC in Kaunas, we are looking for a Senior GL Accountant to join our collaborative team and contribute to high-quality accounting processes that support the green transition. Oversee and enhance essential accounting procedures
As a Senior GL Accountant, you will be responsible for coordinating period-end activities and ensuring timely, high-quality execution of tasks. You will work closely with internal customers and outsourcing partners, implementing process improvements and supporting compliance initiatives. This role offers the opportunity to mentor junior colleagues and act as a trusted partner for stakeholders across the organization.
Your responsibility will be to:

• Oversee and process G/L transactions, including accruals, provisions, IC transactions, and reconciliations.
• Manage legal compliance processes such as statutory reporting, audits, and tax returns.
• Identify and implement process improvements for quality and productivity.
• Train and supervise junior accountants, ensuring best practices.
• Support the Manager with SOPs, SLAs, and stakeholder coordination.

You will report to the General Ledger Team Manager and work from our modern office in Kaunas with a hybrid work model.

We are searching for a focused and detail-minded team member who flourishes in a cooperative setting and can assist others effectively. You are solution-focused and motivated to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
You also have:

• A degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Solid technical accounting background and full-cycle accounting knowledge.
• Audit experience.
• Analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Fluency in English.

  Salary range for this position is from 3200 Eur to 3900 Eur Gross.
