Are you motivated by ensuring accuracy, compliance, and continuous improvement in tax operations within an international organization? As a Tax Specialist, you will play a key role in securing accurate VAT and Intrastat reporting while supporting the business through effective controls, stakeholder collaboration, and process optimization.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a global company on a growth journey, where you will work closely with internal teams and external partners to deliver high-quality tax compliance. You will be part of a professional Group Tax function at headquarters, contributing to reliable financial reporting and audit-ready processes in a complex, international environment. The agreement will be temporary for maternity cover, with the possibility of extension.

Ensure accurate VAT compliance and financial integrity

In this role, you will be responsible for VAT, Intrastat, and other indirect tax compliance across the organization, ensuring correct and timely reporting in close cooperation with outsourcing partners and internal stakeholders. You will contribute to period-close activities, maintain high-quality tax accounting, and support continuous improvements in processes and controls. By ensuring reliable data in ERP systems and clear communication with tax authorities, you will help safeguard compliance and financial transparency.

Your responsibility will be to:

  • Maintain tax accounting and bookkeeping in line with local and international requirements.
  • Participate in VAT-related period-close procedures and reconciliations.
  • Coordinate and monitor VAT compliance activities with external service providers.
  • Ensure accurate VAT and Intrastat configuration in the ERP system.
  • Support audits, authority inquiries, and process improvements.

Detail-oriented tax professional with effective collaboration skills.

You are structured and engaged, with a sense of ownership for your tasks. You enjoy digging into details while keeping an eye on the bigger picture and thrive in a role that requires accuracy, stakeholder interaction, and continuous improvement. You work well both with self-direction and as part of a team, build trust across functions, and communicate clearly with colleagues and external partners. Open to feedback and ready to learn, you welcome professional challenges in an international working environment.

You also have:

  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • 2–3 years of experience in tax accounting, VAT reporting, or general ledger accounting.
  • Solid knowledge of VAT compliance and indirect tax processes.
  • Experience working with SAP or a similar ERP system.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.

Salary range for this position is from 2900 Eur to 3400 Eur Gross.
