At NKT’s Shared Service Centre in Kaunas, we are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented GL Accountant to join our growing Group Finance team. In this role, you will contribute to high-quality financial operations while supporting a global organization on its journey towards a greener future.

You will become part of a team of more than 17 finance professionals within a shared service environment that values collaboration, accuracy, and continuous improvement. Ensure accuracy and compliance in financial operations

As a GL Accountant, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality general ledger accounting services and supporting period-end closings in close collaboration with local accounting teams. You will ensure compliance with legal, statutory, and internal requirements while contributing to efficient and standardized financial processes across the organization.

Your responsibility will be to:

• Oversee and process general ledger transactions, including accruals, provisions, and reconciliations.
• Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.
• Handle asset accounting, including additions, disposals, and depreciation.
• Ensure timely and accurate statutory reporting, audits, and tax filings.
• Respond to internal and external inquiries in a professional and efficient manner.

You will be based in Kaunas and report to the General Ledger Team Manager, working closely with both local and international finance stakeholders.

You are structured, consistent, and motivated by delivering high-quality results. You enjoy working with numbers and take pride in ensuring accuracy and compliance, even in complex environments. You are engaged and comfortable cooperating with multiple stakeholders while maintaining a service-oriented mindset. As someone who values knowledge sharing, you are open to learning and professional development in an international setting.

You also have:

• A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience in general ledger accounting and period-end close activities.
• Knowledge of asset accounting and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Experience working with ERP systems.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.

Salary range for this position is from 2700 Eur to 3150 Eur Gross.
