NKT Graduate Programme - Process Engineer

  • Category: Engineering & Science
  • Location: Kladno, CZ

Are you ready to make your mark in the energy transition and contribute to building a more sustainable society? Have you recently completed, or are you about to complete, a university degree in a technical field?

NKT’s power cable solutions connect electrical grids across countries and enable the transmission of renewable energy from remote locations to urban areas. Cables may not always be visible, but they are a crucial part of today’s electrified society and the global transition towards renewable energy. We are proud to play a role in this transformation and to contribute to building a more sustainable future for generations to come.

We are now inviting technically minded talents to join our NKT Graduate Programme and start their career in a modern industrial manufacturing environment. The programme is open to individuals with an interest in technology, manufacturing processes and continuous improvement.

If you are interested in technology, manufacturing and finding better solutions directly in production, this could be the ideal starting point for your professional journey. Previous work experience is not required – what matters most is curiosity, a willingness to learn and an interest in modern manufacturing.

Join us in connecting a greener world!

Life at NKT

At NKT, we foster a diverse organisation and working environment where people from different backgrounds can grow and develop their potential. We believe that diverse teams bring better ideas and help build a strong and successful organisation.

Being part of NKT opens the door to future career opportunities and continuous learning.

You will join our production site in Kladno, where power cables used in modern energy infrastructure are manufactured. As a Process Engineer, you will work on improving production processes directly in the manufacturing environment – from analysing production data and optimising technological procedures to collaborating with operators and technical teams to identify more efficient solutions. This will give you hands-on experience with modern manufacturing technologies in an international technology company.

Ready to start your career in a global technology company with great opportunities?

The NKT Graduate Programme begins in September and runs for approximately 18 months. From day one, you will be employed and become part of our team. Upon successful completion of the programme, our ambition is to offer you a long-term career opportunity within NKT.

The programme includes rotations across different departments, giving you a broad understanding of the manufacturing environment and the company as a whole. The objective of the rotations is to develop a solid understanding of NKT’s operations and build a strong network across the organisation.

During the rotations, you will work on well-defined tasks and technical challenges typical for NKT’s manufacturing environment. One of the rotations may also take place abroad, providing valuable experience in an international environment and expanding your professional perspective.

You will also participate in a joint project together with other graduates, focused on solving a real business or technological challenge within the company. In addition, you will meet with other programme participants during common development modules focused on topics such as company strategy, personal development and presentation skills.

The overall programme structure will give you a unique opportunity to understand both the industry and the company from the ground up, work across functions and build a strong professional network. The programme combines theoretical and practical elements to provide a solid foundation for your future career.

Collaborative and motivated technical talents

The programme is intended for individuals with a technical background or an interest in manufacturing technologies who would like to develop their career in an industrial environment.

Curiosity, willingness to learn and an interest in technical solutions are essential. Teams at NKT are built on collaboration, knowledge sharing and an open approach to solving challenges.

We value analytical thinking, the ability to take responsibility for tasks and good communication skills for working across teams.

English supports collaboration in our international environment, while knowledge of Czech helps with day-to-day work at our production site in Kladno.
