About us

Information Security responsibility

At NKT, we value the importance of keeping all information secure, which we achieve via our Integrated Management System. Through this support, we’re able to operate in a systematic way that ensures we meet the requirements of all our customers and stakeholders.

Due to the continual changes to external security systems, the threat of obsolescence and advances in technology, there is a high risk to security for an organisation. Consequently, we are dynamic to ensure that we remain up-to-date with the rapidly changing security requirements and provide a rigid security infrastructure at our locations and surveillance mechanisms in our information systems. All these measures are taken to ensure we secure our own and the property of our valued customers.

Security Evaluation

The evaluations of security concerns used in Information Security Management System (ISMS) become obsolete as the technology progresses and new threats and vulnerabilities arise. The need for continuous security evaluation of organizational products, services, methods and technology is essential to maintain an effective ISMS. NKT monitor and secure our own and our customers physical and informational property.

Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT)

After the tragic events of September 11, 2001, the war on terror became the number one priority for the US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and this remains the case today, with the threat of terrorism as strong as ever.

Through our collaboration with the CBP and in support of the Homeland Security mission, we are expertly positioned to secure the international supply to the United States.

The goals of C-TPAT are highly integrated with those of NKT’ ISMS to:

• Ensure that partners make improvements to the security of their supply chains pursuant in line with the C-TPAT security criteria.

• Provide incentives and benefits including expedited processing of shipments to C-TPAT partners

• Internationalise the core principles through cooperation and coordination within the international community

• Improve the administration of the C-TPAT program
